Adele E. Woesthaus, 95, of Oakdale, Ill., born Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1920, in St. Louis, Mo., died Friday, October 23, 2015, at Friendship Manor in Nashville, Ill.
Adele retired from Mercantile Bank. She loved traveling to Europe and South American. She loved singing and performing concerts. She loved painting and teaching art classes, she had her own ceramic shop near French Village.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Magdalen, nee Boul, Woesthaus; three brothers, Benjamin, Francis, and Paul Woesthaus; and an infant sister, Ceclia Woesthaus.
Surviving are three nieces, Joan (Gerald) Luchtefeld of Oakdale, Ill., Rita (Don) Dean of Hoopeston, Ill., and Mary (Richard) Ruggles of Nashville, Ill.; seven nephews, Joe (Wanda) Woesthaus of Tyler, Texas, Rollie (Carol) Westhaus of Belleville, Ill., David (Mary) Woesthaus of Belleville, Ill., John Woesthaus of Belleville, Ill., Bill Woesthaus of Witchita, Kan., David (Mary) Woesthaus of Belleville, Ill., and Edward Woesthaus of Belleville, Ill.; Memorials may be made to SS Peter & Paul Church.
Visitation: Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Saints Peter & Paul Church, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the church, with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
