IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Aiden Lee
Wiley
July 3, 2007 – January 19, 2026
Aiden Lee Wiley
July 3, 2007 – January 19, 2026
Aiden Lee Wiley, age 18, of Maryville, Illinois, passed away on January 19, 2026. A young man of extraordinary kindness, depth, and wit, Aiden's presence was a gift to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Aiden was a 2025 honors graduate of Collinsville High School and was currently attending his second semester at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Aiden was a natural thinker who found joy in the great outdoors and the even greater landscapes of the mind. Liking adventure, he was well-traveled, spending summers out of state with family including his cousins, Gabe and Faith in D.C., his late grandma Becky and her side of the family in Colorado, and his grandma Sadie in Arkansas. Whether he was hiking through nature, playing video games/thrifting with friends, exploring complex philosophy, or engaging in spirited discussions, Aiden sought to understand the world and his place within it.
To know Aiden was to know a 'good kid' in the truest sense of the word. He was famously funny, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His most defining trait, however, was his unwavering and profound kindness; Aiden was a genuine soul who felt a deep responsibility to support others, often quietly carrying the burdens of the world on his own shoulders to ensure those around him felt seen and supported.
Aiden was preceded in death by his uncle, Curtis Wiley, his grandmother Becky, his fishing partner Bill, among others cherished along the way. He is survived by his loving parents, Christopher Wiley and Julia Dunaway (father and stepmother), and Tiffany Musielak and Bobby Jacobs (mother and stepfather). His legacy of compassion is also carried on by his siblings: Calliope, Corbyn, Jameson, Lainey, Madison and McKayla; his grandparents, Curtis, Karla, and Sadie; his best friends, Cohen and Brady; and a vast network of extended family and friends who will miss his gentle spirit every day.
A Celebration of Life and visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
● Visitation: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30p.m. (Close family may arrive after 11:00 p.m.)
● Service: 2:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Ron, then gravesite.
