Alberta Jane Farenzena, 84, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2016. She was born Tuesday, February 10th, 1931 in E. St. Louis, IL to Albert and Rose (Hauser) Jenkins. She married Louis T. Farenzena, Sr., January 27th, 1950.

Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Louis T. Farenzena Jr.

She is survived by one son, John A. Farenzena of Collinsville, IL, one brother, George Jenkins of Collinsville, IL, sister-in-law, Amelia (Anthony) Picatto of Collinsville, IL, niece, Alexandra (Chris) Picatto Olivero of Toluca Lake, CA, and niece, Antoinette Picatto of Pasadena, CA.

Alberta is further survived by God-child Lori Ferkel, close cousins; Barb Purlee, Pat Connely, Joan Dervalis and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

Alberta was an operator for PBX and later a secretary for a home business.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL. with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will conclude at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
