Lorene Skelton, nee Tennyson, 81, of Collinsville, Ill., born on Sept. 10, 1932, in Dahlgren, Ill., died at 6:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Four Fountains Nursing Center in Belleville, Ill.

Mrs. Skelton loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Collinsville VFW.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Skelton, whom she married on July 14, 1950; daughter, Sandra Hatchett; parents, Riley and Ethel, nee Stoltz, Tennyson; brothers and sister, Walton, Carl, Herman and Glen Tennyson and Frances Huffstutler; and dear friends, Dorothy, Jean and Pauline.

Surviving are her daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Browning of Collinsville, Ill., and Connie (Carey) Meek of Collinsville, Ill.; son-in-law, Tom Hatchett of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Teresa Hale, Ryan (Heather) Browning, Angela (Scott) Whetham and Zachary Bilyeu; and great-grandchildren, Elliot Browning, Zoe Whetham and Matilda Whetham.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
