Anna Dolan Sodders, 96, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, passed away on September 11, 2021, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital O'Fallon.

Dolan was born August 15, 1925, to Frank and Elva (Carroll) Recard in East St. Louis, Illinois.  She married John F. Sodders on March 20, 1943.

She was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church, Belleville, Illinois.  Dolan enjoyed gardening, and anything that kept her busy, which included: shopping and just being out and about.

Dolan was preceded in death by her parents: husband, John F. Sodders; brothers: Frank C. Recard, Thomas Recard, Hulan Recard, Clark Recard and Carroll Recard; grandson, Keith Sodders.

Survivors include her son, John L. Sodders and wife Donna of Fairview Heights, Illinois; grandson, Richard Sodders of Fairview Heights, Illinois; and several nieces..

A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. at Signal Hill Lutheran Church, 8100 W. Main Street, Belleville, Illinois, with Reverend Mark Wiesner officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, under the direction of Herr Funeral Home of Collinsville, Illinois.
