Araceli Maldonado, 63, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Araceli Maldonado (Marin) was born November 20, 1955 in Houston, TX to Teodoro Guzman-Marin and Ofelia Zubieta-Barbosa Marin. She grew up in Houston and eventually settled in the Midwest where she met and married Jose Maldonado on November 2 ^nd , 1996 in Belleville, Illinois. He survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Araceli's caring nature led her to become a Certified Nurse's Assistant through the Faith Community Center in Highland, Il. This allowed her to serve the elderly community in the Highland area for many years.

She transitioned careers and worked at Kraft Foods in Granite City as a machine operator before her retirement. Araceli loved music, dancing, and was always the life of any party. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her children, Maria Elena Jones (husband, Shawn Jones) of Fairmont City, IL, Alicia Christina Marin of Fairmont City, IL, Suzzanna Michelle Hernandez (husband, Francisco Hernandez) of Collinsville, IL and Angelina Ofelia Arreguin of Belleville, IL; sixteen grandchildren; and 13 siblings. She is preceded by her son, Michael Robert Siebe.

VISITATION: A visitation for Araceli will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.

FUNERAL:  A funeral will be held immediately following the visitation, at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
