Arthur "Art" Eugene Bough, 77, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born April 10, 1936, in Ashmore, Ill., passed away January 23, 2014 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, Ill.
Art served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Edwardsville American Legion. For 50 years he was a mechanic for the Madison (M&M) Service Company. He enjoyed time on the water and especially being the boat driver. Art loved watching TV, gardening and working outside.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Hazel, nee Woodyard, Bough; a sister, Darlene Wooten; and a brother, Michael Bough.
Surviving are his loving wife, Marjorie, nee Arnold, Bough, of Glen Carbon, Ill., whom he married on August 12, 1961; daughters, Christine (Jason) Ovanic of Utica, Ill., and Cherie (Chris) Blair of Granite City, Ill.; five grandchildren, Jordan Alexander Ovanic, Jacob Andrew Ovanic, Joseph Arthur Ovanic, Caleb James and Courtney Nicole Blair; a sister, Judy (Bill) Furry of Charleston, Ill.; a brother, Leland Bough of Mattoon, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
