Arthur Lee Paul Klunk, 85, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 20, 1927, in Michael, Ill., passed away at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.
Art was a pipefitter for Local 55 and Shell Oil Company for 25 years and a laborer for 10 years. He was a Korean War Army Veteran and a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Eileen, nee Sly, Klunk, whom he married on July 10, 1954; his parents, Valentine C. and Evelyn, nee Meyers, Klunk; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Brigman.
Surviving are his daughters, Susan L. Brigman of Troy, Ill., Nancy J. ( William ) Chan of Gretna, La., Gail A. ( Ronald ) Deichmann of Cedar Hill, Mo., and Marsha L. (Brian) Brueggemann of Collinsville, Ill.; sisters and brothers, Mary Ann Flanigan of Meppen, Ill., Valentine J. (Pat) Klunk of Morton, Ill., Marjorie Jones of Kampsville, Ill., Alice (Alan) Clune of Locust Grove, Va., Doris McEuen of East Alton, Ill., Jimmy L. (Alice) Klunk of Fieldon, Ill., Theresa Schultz of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Rita (Sam) Perry of Whitley City, Ky., Helen Whited of Godfrey, Ill., and Barbara (John) Kane of Worthington, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Alicia) Stephens of Shreveport, La., Timothy (Dawn) Stephens of Cottage Hills, Ill., Andrew (Lauren) Deichmann of St. Louis, Mo., Jason Brigman of Fairview Heights, Ill., Curtis (Tegan) Stephens of Collinsville, Ill., Stacy Deichmann of Cedar Hill, Mo., Rachel (Dustin Sedlacek) Bauer of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Kevin Bauer of Collinsville, Ill.; and four great-grandchildren, Isabela, Kellen and Triston Stephens and Jack Deichmann.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Michael, Ill.
