Barbara G. Jasper, age 77, of Glen Carbon, died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

She was born June 1, 1936, in Salyersville, Ky., the daughter of the late Alexander and Thelma Flint Allen. She married Terry Jasper on Jan. 5, 1990. He survives in Glen Carbon.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Mike Kennedy of Cutler, Ill., Doug Kennedy of DelRay Beach, Fla. and "Barefoot" Bill Kennedy of Sparta; two daughters Vicki Kennedy of Caseyville, and Andi Kennedy of Glen Carbon; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one brother: Jim Allen of Salyersville, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Lola J. Allen.

Mrs. Jasper was a cook, a V.F.W. manager and the owner/operator of Bobbi's Hi-Lo. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at the funeral home with Lee Swallows officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.
