COLLINSVILLE, IL- Barbara J. Nesbit, 60, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born March 18, 1958 in St. Louis, MO to Roy and Ruth (Malcom) Lawson. She married Jeff W. Nesbit Sr. on April 21, 1973 in Collinsville, IL. Together,they shared 45 years of marriage. He survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving is their son, Jeffrey W. Jr. (Rita) Nesbit of Doniphan, MO; grandchildren, Brittany and Hunter Nesbit; siblings: Donna Rogers of Collinsville, IL, Patsy Mordis of Collinsville, IL, Roy Lawson of Creal Springs, IL and Tina Hasty (Jimmy Starnes) of Collinsville, IL; mother-in-law, Evelene Nesbit of Doniphan, MO; brother-in-law, James (Colleen) Nesbit of Florence, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-laws, Rick Rogers, Glenn Mordis and Brian Hasty; and father-in-law, James Nesbit.

In years past, Barbara worked at the Save-a-Lot Warehouse in Pontoon Beach and at Sav-On-Liquor in Collinsville. She also worked as a devoted homemaker. She always enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her dearest grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Barbara will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 3:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.

SERVICE: A service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Doniphan, MO on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 3:00 P.M.
