Benjamin H. Coley, Jr., 81, of Caseyville, Ill., born May 2, 1930, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.



Mr. Coley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caseyville, Ill.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin H. and Esther, nee Hofmiester, Coley, Sr.



Surviving are his wife, Shirley, nee Kasson, Coley whom he married on July 11, 1958; sons, Kevin Lee Coley of Chester, Ill., Keith Ben Coley of Caseyville, Ill., Kenneth James Coley of Baldwin, Ill., and Ben H. Coley III of Caseyville, Ill.; step-mother, Lucy Coley of Alhambra, Ill.; sister, Doris Wright of Godfrey, Ill.; step-sister, Alta Welch of Worden, Ill.; brother, David Coley of Edwardsville, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Shannon, Daniele and Brittany; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Herr Funeral Home, Caseyville, Ill., with Rev. Henry Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Caseyville Cemetery in Caseyville, Ill.
