HIGHLAND- Bernadette (Jerashen) Thompson, 72, of Highland, Il passed away on September 6, 2017. She was born on October 26, 1944 to George and Lola Downey Jerashen.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Kenneth C. Thompson of Highland, Il; daughter, Suzanne Simpson and partner Bobbie Brewton of Weatherford,TX, two sons, Thomas Simpson and wife Donna of Nemo, TX, Bill Simpson and wife Deanna of Burleson,TX; three stepsons, Scott Thompson and wife Gena of Eureka, Il, Doug Thompson of Edwardsville, Il and Jeff Thompson and wife Suzy of Roanoke, Il.; sister Susan Chun and brother Tom Jerashen.

She was preceded in death by son, Bradley Simpson; her mother, Lola and father, George; one sister, Pat Jones; two brothers, Don Jerashen and Richard Jerashen.

She was a grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was a 1963 graduate of St. Teresa Academy in East St. Louis, IL. She worked as a homemaker. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Bernadette will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.

FUNERAL: A funeral will be held immediately following the visitation, at 1:00 P.M. Father John Beveridge will officiate. Bernadette will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
