Bernhard T. Hartmann, 81, of Collinsville, Ill., born May 28, 1932, in Wann-Eickel, Germany, died at 8:57 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Hartmann was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Else, nee Kupietz, Hartmann, whom he married on Nov. 22, 1952; daughter, Patricia (Craig) Simon of Collinsville, Ill.; son, Donald (Debbie) Hartmann of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Sigrid Hartmann of Germany; and five grandchildren.
