Berniece F. Sherman, 89, formerly of Collinsville Ill., passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at the Fountains of Troy, Troy, Ill.

Berniece was born in Wentzville, Mo., March 29 1925, to Frank and Josephine Duello.

Surviving Berniece are sons, Terry (Kathy) of Chesterfield, Mo., Paul (Phyllis) of Granite City, Ill., and Bill (Joy) of Springfield, Ill.; grandchildren Scott, Britt, Nathan, Jedda, Josiah and Samuel; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jim Duello of O'Fallon, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; a sister, three brothers and a granddaughter, Laura.

Berniece was a long time resident of Collinsville, Ill. She was an active golfer, played cards, quilted and did needlepoint.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.

Funeral: Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill. with services to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
