Betty June Evelyn Ridgeway, nee Whitaker, 86, of Granite City, Ill., born Jan. 24, 1928, in Eureka Springs, Ark., died Monday, March 24, 2014, at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Ill.

She retired as a CID from Trans World Airlines after 22 years; and was a member of TWA Seniors and Pontoon Beach Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Ridgeway, whom she married July 20, 1946; parents, David and Jeneva, nee Grinstead, Whitaker; four sisters, Wanda Towsend, Joyce Harris, Margaret Waggoner and Rosalie Lanham; and a brother, Eugene Whitaker.

Surviving are two sons, Denis (Kat) Ridgeway of Brighton, Ill., and Dr. Daryl (Patricia) Ridgeway of Wentzville, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kelly Wood, Crystal Towniskoetter, Amber Ridgeway and Jade Ridgeway; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at the funeral home with Lee Swallows officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
