Betty Jane Cleland, nee Rotramel, 90, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 24, 1923, in Slick, Okla., passed away at 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.
Betty was a PTA volunteer and for many years was the children's librarian at Lincoln Elementary School in Collinsville. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Nesbit (K9RKU) Cleland, whom she married on Dec. 26, 1942; parents, Fred L. and Flossie E., nee Stevenson, Rotramel Sr.; brothers, Patrick Rotramel and Fred L. Rotramel Jr.; and her sister, Dixie Keller.
Surviving are a son, Matthew (Kristine) Cleland of Collinsville, Ill.; daughter, Judy (Jeffrey) Clifton of Collinsville, Ill.; her wonderful grandchildren, Christopher (Gretchen) Clifton, Jennifer Centers, Miranda, Avery and Miles Cleland; and three great-grandchildren, Seth Jones, Tyler Centers and Arlo Clifton.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 26, 2014, at First United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Young officiating. Per family request, cremation rites will be accorded.
