Betty J. Salzman, nee Staley, 84, of Granite City, Ill., born Sunday, May 25, 1930, in Bloomington, Ill., passed away at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at her residence.

Betty enjoyed working with flowers especially roses. She loved her children and grandchildren and was known for her smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Salzman, whom she married on Nov. 25, 1950; her parents, Milford N. and Erma L., nee Norbits, Staley; and a sister, Vera Griffin.

Surviving are her son, Paul (Tammy) Salzman of Granite City, Ill.; daughter, Margaret R. Salzman; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Harry officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington, Ill.
