TROY- Billy W. Crowell, 82, of Troy, IL, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Billy was born on September 30, 1935 in Hornersville, MO to Kie Roland and Pearl Christine (Patterson) Crowell.
He married Marjorie Wallace on May 25, 1977 in Collinsville, IL. Together, they shared 40 years of marriage. She survives and resides in Troy.
Also surviving are his children, Penny Lynn Ledet of Stephen City, VA and Robin Rene (Warren) Williams of Gretna City, LA; stepchildren, Judith Lynn Leiger of Christiansburg, VA and William Eugene Johanning of South Middleburg, FL; grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Justin Williams, Amy Ledet, Mark Ledet, Melinda Sue Parker; step- grandchildren, Tracy Gilbert, Robert Gilbert, Eugene Gilbert, Toni Fannon, Joseph Leiger, Chelsea Leiger and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Emma Jean (John Jr.) Wyrostek of Glen Carbon, IL
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Mark Wayne Crowell in 1995.
Billy proudly served his country in the Untied States Army. He spent 29 years working for General Motors in St. Louis as a lineman and inspector. Billy and Marjorie would travel cross-country on his motorcycle and always enjoyed their time together. He was an avid runner and enjoyed participating in numerous events.

VISITATION: A visitation for Billy will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL.
FUNERAL: A funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, IL. Interment will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, IL.
