TROY- Bobby L. Barbour, 80, of Troy, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Bobby was born November 15, 1938 in Gretna, VA to Roosevelt and Ada (Simpson) Barbour. He married Nelda Tolison on May 20, 1961 in Clovis, New Mexico. She survives and resides in Troy, IL.

Also surviving are their three sons, Stephen (Beth) Barbour of Troy, IL, Todd (Kelli) Barbour of St. Jacob, IL and Michael (Amy) Barbour of Troy, IL; and eight grandchildren, Melanie, Jason, Beau, Brandon, Collin, Jackson, Ben and Ella.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his nine siblings.

Bobby earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Parks College in St. Louis. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force; after 20 years of service, he retired from the Military Inspector General Team at Scott Air Force Base as Senior Master Sergeant Bobby L. Barbour. He continued is working career and retired as the director of operations with Schwerman Tankline.

Bobby enjoyed his traveling and camping alongside his wife, Nelda. They enjoyed many vacations and their time together. Bobby will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

VISITATION: A visitation for Bobby will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034.

FUNERAL: A funeral will follow the visitation on Thursday, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
