Bobby G Cox Sr.

Bobby G. Cox Sr., 72, of Collinsville, Ill., born Sep. 5, 1943, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in Belleville, Ill.

Bobby was a Christian who lived out his faith as a kind and generous family man who always put the needs of his family first. He supported his kid''s interest in all their endeavors. He enjoyed spending time with the family going on vacations and having bbqs. A true gentleman, he was kind and caring man who helped anybody and was there to make sure things got done. Bobby will always be the "Memory Maker" for his family. Mr. Cox retired as a Leadman from Carrlane Manufacturing, Shrewsbury, Mo., after 43 years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Cox Jr.; parents Rubin G. & Easter, nee Donathan, Cox.

Surviving are his daughters, Cheryl Myers of Collinsville, Ill., Rebecca Cox of Collinsville, Ill.; sister, Billie (Robert) DeMond of Belleville, Ill.; his significant other Lorilee Barber; grandchildren, Tommy (Sally) Myers, Tammy Myers, Christopher (Amber) Kircher, William (Lacey) Myers, Joshua (Alex) Cox, Justin Cox and Chelsea Joaquin; great Grandchildren, Eric, Josh, Dominic, Alexis, Nayeli, Adalynn, Andrew, Anna, Jaxson, Bradon, Landon and Adaline; one niece and one nephew.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sep. 3, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Sep. 4, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Ron Woods officiating.
