Bobby G. Evans

Bobby Gene Evans, 75, of Arnold, Mo., passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016, in Arnold, Mo.

He was born in Athens, Al., on March 10, 1941, the son of the late Lemmie and Elzie Lou, nee Adams, Evans. He was also preceded in death by one brother Benny Allen Evans.

Bobby was a truck diver by profession. He was the youngest of the family and enjoyed teasing his sisters and brother. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the military police canine
unit, he was also a sharp shooter. He was privileged to be part of the honor guard when her majesty Queen Elizabeth visited New York City. He truly enjoyed reading and working in his garden and he especially loved making people laugh.

He is survived by his Life Partner Violet Connie Asher of Arnold, Mo.; daughter, Barbara Adams of Fenton, MO.; sisters, Ivie Terry of Granite City, Ill., Ruby (David) Cossey of Dardenne Prairie, Mo.; three grandchildren Robbie, Michael and Douglas.

Visitation: Friends may call 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, Ill.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.
