Bonnie J. Nolkemper, nee Wolfe, 81, of Collinsville, Ill., beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Friday April 22, 2016 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.
Bonnie was born and raised in Collinsville, Ill. She graduated Collinsville Township High School in 1952, and married Roy L. Nolkemper of St. Louis, Mo., in 1954. She worked many years as a secretary and retired from Edison Brothers, Inc., St. Louis, Mo. Bonnie loved spending time with her family. Some of her most enjoyable times were spent watching her granddaughter play softball and traveling with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Nolkemper; parents, William and Faye Wolfe; a brother, Robert G. Wolfe; a sister, Betty Minner; and a brother-in-law, Robert Henry.
Surviving are her daughter, Charlotte (Mark) Popov; granddaughter, Lauren Faye (Kent Muniz) Popov; a sister, Shirley Henry; a brother, Bill (Marie) Wolfe; sister-in-law Josephine Wolfe; brother-in-law, Sam Minner; and several nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Collinsville, Illinois.
Visitation: Friends may visit the family from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Kyle Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Edwardsville, Ill.
