Brenda Kay Grigg - Age 70 ,  of Edwardsville, IL, passed away  on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

She was born on June 18, 1952, in Highland, IL, to the late Charles and Gladys (Sheffer) Steward.

She married Ronald Grigg on July 9, 1974, in Edwardsville, IL. They shared 48 wonderful years by each other's side.

Brenda enjoyed playing table games and putting together puzzles, she loved playing games with her family. In her younger years cared for many area children at her home daycare. Many of those children became like family and fondly referred to her as "Aunt Brenda". She was also a past housekeeper at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab.  Later, she spent several years with Acosta as  merchandiser. She  loved her family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald, of Edwardsville, her daughters: Kelly (Kevin) Wyvell of Florence, CO, and Kara (Chris) Johnson of Hamel, IL, and brothers-in-law: Mark (Monica) Combs of  Edwardsville, IL, and Monty (Cindy) Morrison, of Meadowbrook, IL, two brothers: Dan (Rick Ellis) Vetter of Edwardsville, IL, and Jim (Kelli) Steward, of Worden, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and also many other extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson: Kristopher Mark Wyvell, a brother : Charles "Skip" Steward, a sister: Linda Combs, her second mother: Kathleen Steward, mother and father-in-law: Roderick and Elaine Morrison,  brother's-in-law: Donald Morrison, and Gary Morrison, sister-in-law: Carol Steward, nephew: Matt Morrison, and a great nephew: Dillion Dean.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM also at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, with burial to follow immediately in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
