Brian Stephen Brogan, 68, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on May 12, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Brian was born in Lewiston, Maine, on September 29, 1952 to Paul F. and Mary (Vanier) Brogan. He began his service career in the United States Air Force in 1973.  In 1975, he married Janice Fagan after meeting while they were both serving in the military.  They traveled many beautiful places during his career until his retirement in 1997. After his retirement, he began a 13 year career with SIUE in Administration.

He was a member of St Cecilia Catholic Church. Brian loved to travel, and he enjoyed reading the newspaper and car magazines.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Paul F. Brogan Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Brogan of Collinsville, Illinois; son, Scott Brogan of O'Fallon, Illinois;  and sister, Sheila Danforth and husband Paul of Lisbon, Maine.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Illinois.  Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. with Father Patrick Gibbons officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
