Brian A. Spink, 55, of Marion, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born to James and Juanita (Wilson) Spink on July 14, 1968 in Alton, Illinois.

Brian enjoyed outdoor activities of all kinds. His favorite pastimes were deer hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. He was a talented woodworker, and excelled at a variety of hands-on projects. He was proud to serve in the volunteer fire department for many years. Brian loved being outdoors and with nature, he was especially fond of taking drives with the family to look for deer and enjoy the wildlife as the sun set. He looked forward to trips and enjoyed traveling. On occasion, he even surprised the family with impromptu trips, creating life-long memories together. He enjoyed listening to his favorite tunes and had a deep appreciation of music from all genres. Brian was extremely hardworking and a dedicated family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother who delighted in his time with them. Brian will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those left behind to cherish Brian's memory are his wife Valerie Spink, daughters Whitney Spink and Sara (Jeremy) DeJournett, son Collin Spink, grandchildren Christina, Dawson, Cooper, Greyson, and Avalyn, siblings Karen (Paul) Mathenia, James (Narni) Spink Jr, Pam (Joe) Boetta, and Theresa (Rodney) Meikamp. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many more family and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet Marie, and niece Miranda Jo.

Funeral services will be at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr. Glen Carbon, Illinois on Monday, January 22, 2024 with a visitation from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and the funeral service beginning at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. As we bid farewell to Brian, let us remember the warmth, love, and positivity he brought to our lives.
