Bruce Donald Nessel, 68, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away March 4 ^th , 2019. He was born in Elmhurst, Illinois on February 2 ^nd , 1951 to Martin and Wilma (Hoge) Nessel.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Deborah A. Zumwinkel, whom he married in St. Louis, Missouri on October 29 ^th , 1983 and children, Gentry (Evan) Fifer of Highland, Illinois, Thaddeus (Natalie) Nessel of Collinsville, Illinois, Tory (Danielle) Nessel of Mascoutah, Illinois and Tierney Nessel of Collinsville, Illinois. He is further survived by one brother, Brian Nessel of Warrenville, Illinois.

Bruce served in the United States Navy and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He became an Insurance Underwriter, was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, Illinois, where he was involved with the choir and also involved with the Collinsville Chorale.

A Memorial Gathering for Bruce will be on Saturday, March 9 ^th , 2019 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at St. John UCC in Collinsville, Illinois with Memorial Service starting at 12:00 P.M. at the church.

Interment will be at a later date in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
