Bryan Keith Burgess, 61, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at his residence.

He was born November 14, 1960, in Wood River, Illinois and was the son of the late Edward Wayne and Bertha Virginia (nee York) Burgess.

He worked and assisted many years in his family's business, the former Wayne's Professional Dry Cleaners in Edwardsville.

He was an accomplished carpenter, who with his brother's help built his own home. He loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite activities were skydiving, scuba diving and hiking in the mountains.  He also enjoyed riding his bike, roller blading and snow skiing. He took a cross country trip by motorcycle.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his three siblings: Eddie Burgess of Edwardsville Pam (Lyndell Weber) Burgess of Worden, Illinois; Terry (Cindy) Burgess of Edwardsville. His three nephews: Jimmy, Dustin and Joey (Nicole) Burgess; Step-niece and nephews: Chad Weber, Cassie Flynn, Jeremy (Martha) Jaeger and other extended family, as well as many friends.

Friends are welcome to join the family to honor Bryan, on Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive in Glen Carbon to celebrate his life.  Friends are encouraged to share their special memories with the family.
