Carl Wayne Hoffner's Obituary
Carl Wayne Hoffner, age 75 of Edwardsville, IL, died at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday September 12, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Cairo, IL Monday May 2, 1938, to Cecil Weldon Hoffner and Lola Mae (Turner) Hoffner-Endicott.
Carl was a retired Edwardsville Fire Fighter and E M T. retiring in 1993. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Scheibal) Hoffner of Edwardsville; a daughter, Carla Jean (Robert) McCormick of Edwardsville; two sons, Cary (Peggy) Davis and Curt Davis, all of St. Jacob; two sisters, Barbara Whitehead of Marion and Kathryn Sue Erspamer of Edwardsville. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Chelsea Tucker, Evan McCormick, Dustin and Stephanie Davis.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Louis Endicott.
There will be no visitation; graveside service 11:00 am Monday, September 16, 2013 at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL, with Pastor Shane Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
