Carl C. Stanley Jr., 99, of Glen Carbon, IL., passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018, in Glen Carbon, IL.  He was born in Frankfort, KY., July 31, 1918, the son of the late Carl C. and Cora, nee Bradly, Stanley Sr.  He was also preceded by his wife Jeane, nee Turcott; three sisters, Emma Gaudino, Elsie Ozment and Kinney Elliott.

Carl and his wife enjoyed traveling and had visited every state but Alaska.  Every three years he would trade cars and kept them spotless and well maintained.  He enjoyed reading and watching the Cardinals. Carl served in the U.S. Army Air corp flying 35 missions in a B-17 during WWII.  He was a proud member and supporter of the VFW.

Carl is survived by his loving daughters, Marsha (Gene) Buechler of St. Louis, MO., Judy (Jim) Morgan of Broadlands, IL.; his loving grandchildren, Claire Buechler, Kelly Heath, Jamison (Pat) Barry, Lindsay Heath and Jimmy (Tracy) Morgan; his great-grandchildren Lyra and Iris Barry.

Friends may call at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, IL., Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at the Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St Louis, MO., with full military honors.
