Carl Gilbert Witte, 84, of Caseyville, Ill., born May 20, 1927, in Collinsville, Ill., died at 4:19 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, Caseyville Nursing Ceneter in Caseyville, Ill.
Mr. Witte was a retired farmer and was formerly a driver for Greyhound Bus Co., in Caseyville, Ill., and Krieder Trucking. He had attended St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, Ill.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Witte and Viola M., nee Roedger, Witte; a grandson, Brent Esicar; and a sister Fay Kurtz.
Surviving are his children, Karren Esicar of Hannibal, Mo., Dwaine (Christy) Witte of Salisbury, Mo., and Mark (Phyllis) Witte of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Kara (A.J.) Viorel of Hannibal, Mo., Sara (Anthony Malin) Witte of Columbia, Mo., and Dylan Witte of Salisbury, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Chloe Malin and Mia Viorel; brother-in-law, Leonard Kurtz of Collinsville, Ill.; and former wife, Wanetah Troecker of Edwardsville, Ill.
