Carla Barber Hobson, 75, of Glen Carbon, IL, passed away on January 21, 2016, surround by loved ones.

She was born on October 3, 1940, in Santa Rosa, CA, to parents Carl Barber and Lily (Scruggs) Barber. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Robert Hobson; son Daniel Hobson; seven grandchildren; and her faithful dog Penny.

Carla lived a full and adventurous life. She enjoyed roller skating, playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places, especially Disney World.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents and her loving daughter, Donna Lee Bugger.

A memorial reception will be held on Sunday, January 24, from 1-4pm, at her home on 30 Rushmore Drive, Glen Carbon, IL, with a special service to take place at 2pm.
