Carol S. Penny

O'Fallon, MO.- Carol completed her flight "On the wings of the Angels" to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  She was born in Jefferson City, MO., on December 6, 1937.  She was a beloved wife for 63 years of Clarence L. Penny and dear mother of Dr. Rick Penny (wife, Sue), Vickie L. Poinsett (husband, Dan), and Bryan H. Penny (husband, Matt Savoie); dear step-sister of Lee Williams (wife, Carolyn); sister-in-law of Donald Soulney (wife, Shirley); grandmother of Douglas Penny (Randi Marie), Zachery Penny (Jessica), Dion Penny; great-grandmother of Zatanna, Harper, Mabrey and Brooks; and a very special Aunt to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Sr. and Elsie, nee Dunnavant, Bahr; her sister, Barbara; her brother Harold; her step father Leo Williams.

Carol loved to brag about her family, travel, cross stitch, golf, watch her Cardinals and play bingo and rummy cube with her many Garden Villa friends.  She appreciated the care and support of the staff at the Villas and especially from her dear friend, Melissa Johnson.  Carol attended the Dardenne Presbyterian Church for the past 20 years but remained a loyal member of the Caseyville United Methodist Church.  The family wants to thank the staff of the SSM Health at Home Hospice for their care and concern and especially to Dr. Howard Goldberg and Dr. Chandra Wiewel for their loving care during her long illness.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018, at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood St, O'Fallon, MO. and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Caseyville United Methodist Church, Caseyville, IL., under the direction of Herr Funeral Home.

Funeral:  Funeral service will be conducted by Herr Funeral Home, 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Caseyville United Methodist Church, Caseyville, IL., with Pastor Joy Caschetta officiating.  Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
