COLLINSVILLE- Catherine, nee Furfaro, Porter, 93, of Collinsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at her residence.

Catherine was born on October 12, 1924 in Collinsville, IL to Salvatore and Sarafina, nee Ventrice, Furfaro. She married Roland O. Porter on October 11, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1974.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Vincent James (Verna) Furfaro, Samuel Furfaro, Jerome (Pat) Furfaro and Pat Furfaro; sister-in-laws, Rosalie Furfaro and Frances Furfaro and brother-in-law, Charlie Dixon.

She is survived by her children, William S. (Carol) Porter, R. Terry (Jan) Porter, Timothy (Melba) Porter and Trudy L. Porter, all of Collinsville, IL; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Angelo Furfaro, Mary Jane Dixon and Frank Furfaro; and sister-in-law, Jean Furfaro.

VISITATION: A visitation for Catherine will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL.

FUNERAL: There will be a funeral held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Evans will officiate. Interment will be at Augusta Cemetery in St. Jacob Township.
