Charlene M. Watson (Pace), 91, of Ballwin, MO, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Baisch Nursing Center in De Soto, MO.

She was born October 28, 1926 in Granite City, IL to William Pace and Mildred Rippy (Pace).

Charlene married Ralph E. Watson on June 6, 1943. Together, they had one daughter, Lana. Ralph passed away on October 1, 1994.

She worked for Senack Shoe Co. in St Louis until her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked at Creative Travel in Granite City, IL for several years. She and Ralph enjoyed many wonderful trips with family and friends.

Charlene was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and enjoyed watching them play as often as she could.

Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; sister, Ruth; and her dear friend, LaVerne.

Surviving is her daughter, Lana (husband, Tim) Stoeckl of Ballwin, MO; two grandchildren Lauren (husband, George) Meier of Leawood, KS and Tim (wife, Heather) Stoeckl of Fenton, MO; as well as her great-grandchildren, George, Gabriel, Ava, Emma and Alec.

VISITATION:  A visitation for Charlene will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034.

SERVICE: A service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
