Charles I. Fearn, 86, of Collinsville, Ill., born Oct. 31, 1926, in Nokomis, Ill., died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Charles retired as the gas superintendent from Illinois Power after 39 years. He was a member of the VFW 5691 in Collinsville, and the Noweaqua Christian Church. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a great sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira H. and Lola, nee Bost, Fearn; and three sisters, Rachel Jesse, Joan Moore and Shirley Traughler.
Surviving are his wife, Delores, nee Rider, Fearn, whom he married on July 9, 1947; two daughters, Jacalyn (Larry) Weil of Edwardsville, Ill., and Sandra (Randall) Talbert of Decatur, Ill.; two grandchildren, Molly (Steve) Catalano of Haughton, La., and Hunter Charles Talbert of Decatur, Ill.; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Hailey Catalano.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Donahue officiating. Cremations rites will be accorded and burial will be at Westside Cemetery in Moweaqua, Ill., at a later date.
