Charles L. Mullins, 85, of Collinsville, Ill., born Aug. 1, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Elmwood Nursing Home, Maryville, Ill.
Mr. Mullins was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Fairview Heights, Ill. Charles enjoyed his music so much, playing guitar in several bands, most notably Moon Mullins and the Road Runners.
Surviving are his wife, Geneva Louise, nee Edwards, Mullins of Collinsville, Ill.; his son, Ken (Lisa) Mullins of St. Charles, Mo.; his step-children, Dennis Nix of Collinsville, Ill., Carol Lukens of O'Fallon, Ill., Frank (Nancy) Nix of Sunnyside, Utah, Bruce (Teri) Nix of O'Fallon, Ill., Doug Nix of Belleville, Ill., and Robert Nix of Collinsville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at Parkview Church of Nazarene, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Pastor Jay Shoff officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
