Christian A. Brooks, 42, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 31, 1970, in Highland, Ill., died on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Brooks was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving Christian are his wife Kristina, nee Larner, Brooks of Collinsville, Ill., children, Brendan Brooks of Caseyville, Ill., Emma Brooks of Caseyville, Ill., and Jacob Larner of Collinsville, Ill.; brothers and sisters, Ian Brooks of Collinsville, Ill., Erik Brooks of O'Fallon, Ill., Megan (Michael) Parsons of Granite City, Ill., Josh Davis of Rocking River, Ohio, Katie (Russell) Errett of Collinsville, Ill., and Sarah (Jim) Gruchala of Collinsville, Ill.; father, Larry Dean (Elon) Brooks of Caseyville, Ill.; and mother, Patricia (Ray) Potts of Granite City, Ill.
