Obituary

Christopher "Chris" Michael Carson, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away May 24th, 2024 at the age of 39. He was born to Kevin and Patricia (Hanlon) Carson on February 10th, 1985 in Quincy, Illinois, twenty five minutes before his twin brother Craig.

Those left to cherish Chris' memory are his parents, Kevin and Pat Carson, siblings, Katrina (Kevin) Ingram, John Robert "J.R." (Summer) Cates, Jenny (Charlie) Johnson, Craig Carson, children Knowell "Patrick" Aaron Carson, Eyston "E.J." James Carson, Grandmother Elfrieda (Wied) Hanlon, and numerous other family members and dear friends.

In death Chris was reunited with his brother, Charles "Patrick" Cates, son Sawyer Joseph, and grandparents Willard A. Carson Jr, Mary (Bogosian) Carson and John Robert "Bob" Hanlon.

Chris had a passion for wrestling, being a professional wrestler for the South Broadway Athletic club in St. Louis, sometimes he would go all the way to North Carolina to perform. Chris had such a love of wrestling he would even wrestle with broken fingers and toes. His family always loved watching the show he would put on, as it would always make them laugh and put a smile on their faces.

He also had a love for bowling. In high school Chris worked at a bowling alley with his brother while also being a member of the Collinsville High School Bowling team. Chris rekindled his passion for bowling and had taken the sport back up in recent years.

Chris had a deep love for music, he loved to play the guitar and sing, he was a natural. He enjoyed teaching his son Knowell how to play the guitar. Some of his favorite bands were Sublime, Rammstein, and Bob Marley just to name a few. Chris was also a movie enthusiast, one of his favorites being Deadpool. He could quote or act out any scene from pretty much any movie he was known to enjoy. Chris was always trying to make everyone around him laugh, making sure everyone was having a good time, even if he was struggling with his own troubles, his love for his family shined through. He truly was a kid at heart , and loved the time he spent with his boys. Chris will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure and honor of knowing and loving him.

The family requests you wear your favorite band, wrestling or movie shirt in honor of Chris' love of music, movies and wrestling.
