Christopher Alan Moncelli, 67, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away at his home on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  Christopher was born on August 29, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to parents, Vito and Bertice (nee Silcox) Moncelli.  He married Bonnie Fresen on July 6, 1996 in Troy, Illinois. They spent 26 wonderful years together.

Christopher most recently worked in IT, but previously worked as a music composer, arranger, and trombonist during his service in the Air Force.  He loved jazz music and recently took up drawing, which he was very good at. Christopher once wrote an article for The Trombone Journal, in which his was the cover story for.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vito and Bertice Moncelli.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie Moncelli; two children, Daniel and Emily Moncelli; four grandchildren; and sister, Patricia "Tricia" Hentschel.

Services for Christopher will be held at Herr Funeral Home, 501 W. Main Street in Collinsville, Illinois on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, and will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.  Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will follow the services.
