Cleo L. Dudas, 92, formerly of Caseyville, Illinois, passed away on May 23, 2021, in Arnold, Missouri.

Cleo was born April 16, 1929, in Mt. Olive, Illinois, to Charles and Barbara (Yurkovich) Sauer.  She married George Dudas on October 1, 1949.

Cleo was a very devout Catholic and loved donating her time for church functions and fundraisers.  She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville.  She also was a member of the St. Anne Alter Society and the V.F.W Auxiliary Post 1117.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Dudas; son, Stephan Dudas; siblings: Bernice Wathern, John Sauer, Viola Fritzsche, Lesley Sauer, Carlyle Sauer, and Marva Jean LaFuria; and niece Linda Lafuria.

Survivors include her sons:  Michael (Sue) Dudas of Arnold, Missouri, and Scott (Kristy) Dudas of Afton, Missouri; grandchildren:  Tracy (Ben) Heath of Arnold, Missouri, Tricia (Bill) Martin of Arnold, Missouri,  Stephan (Katrina) Dudas of Imperial, Missouri, Magin (Ryan) Overkamp of Imperial, Missouri, and Nick (Rachel) Santoro of Oakville, Missouri; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; nieces and nephews: Rick (Heather) Sauer of Hinsdale, Illinois, Russell (Barb) Sauer of San Jose, California, Maryann (George) Hensey of Springfield, Illinois, and Karon (Gary) Fyalka of Mt. Olive, Illinois.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville.  Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m with Father John Iffert officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois, under the direction of Herr Funeral Home of Collinsville.
