Constance "Connie" Ann (Davies) Biesemeyer passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, in Glen Carbon, Illinois, at the age of 89. She was born in Wichita, Kansas, on September 4, 1937, to Reverend Frank and Ora (Pierce) Davies, and grew up surrounded by family, faith, and music.

Connie was an accomplished musician who used her God-given talent daily. She mastered the piano, organ, and violin. She had perfect pitch; and could hear a song once, sit down and play it in full. Music was her passion, therapy, and joy in life. 

Connie married R. Allen Biesemeyer, her college sweetheart, in 1958, and they spent 68 wonderful years together. They had two beloved daughters, Lori and Julie. Connie loved her son-in-law, Brett, as her own. She celebrated with joy when she finally achieved the title of Granny to her three beautiful grandchildren, Katarina, Aloysha, and Lainey, and was so proud to be Great Granny to Sammy. Family was a priority, and Sunday night dinners were a weekly delight. 

Connie graduated first in her class from Marshalltown High School in 1955. She graduated magna cum laude from Morningside College in 1959 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, and received a Master's in Music Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1987. 

Connie served as a Music Specialist for 29 years at public schools in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. Under her direction, the Townsend Elementary Choir performed many concerts, including being the only children's choir asked to perform at the Missouri National Educational Association's State Teacher Convention, where they received a standing ovation. She wrote music educational curriculum and mentored young teachers. In 1982, she was "Teacher of the at Townsend Elementary in the Hazelwood School District. Although she retilQd in 1996, she continued to contribute to education and in 1999 was named the "Outstanding Substitute Teacher" by the F,dwalllsville School District. 

In 1997, she joined the staff of St. John's United Methodist Church as organist and choir accompanist, a position she held for the next 25 years. The worshipful music she plovided each week was a valued asset to the congregation. 

She is survived by her loving husband, R. Allen Biesemeyer; her brother, David Davies; her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Dr. Brett Ziegler; her grandchildren, Katarina (Mitchell) Palmer; Aloysha Ziegler; and Lainey (Diego White) Ziegler; and her great-grandson, Samuel Ziegler-White. 

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Lori Biesemeyer; her parents, Rev. Frank and Ora Davies; her sister, Dorothy Davies Harlis; and her in-laws, Rev. Roy and Lena Biesemeyer. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm, at Sunset Funeral Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive in Glen Carbon. A service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at l0am at St. John's United Methodist Chuch, 7372 Marine Road in Edwardsville. 

Memorials should be given to St. John's United Methodist Church.
