Daisy A. Allen, nee Getz, 77, of Collinsville, Ill., born Dec. 19, 1936, in Blanchester, Ohio, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Daisy was a dedicated military spouse, and her dedication was evident with her care for Eugene. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who very much enjoyed spending time with her family. She and husband, Eugene, had the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of traveling the world together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles C. and Catherine R., nee Pyles, Getz; two brothers, Donald and Charles Getz; and a sister, Nancy Griffith.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene L. Allen of Collinsville, Ill.; two sons, Jeffrey E. Allen of Davis, Calif., and Christopher W. (Kimberly) Allen of Maryville, Ill.; six grandchildren, David (Adreneh) Allen, Brianna Allen, Trevor Allen, Rian Allen, James Dillard and Carrie Klomps; three great-grandchildren, Kimberlee, Faye and Maxton; three sisters, Linda (David) Wilkin of Wilmington, Ohio, Ruth (John) Arvai of Wilmington, Ohio, Reva (John) Dehan of Overland Park, Kan., and Doris Reynolds of Wilmington, Ohio; a brother, Alan Getz of Hillsboro, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and very close friends, the Hole, Brown and Clark families.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph Havrilka officating Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
