Dale C. Nicol, 91, of Collinsville, Ill., born Feb. 7, 1924, in Collinsville, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, in Collinsville, Ill.

Dale retired from the Operating Engineers Local 520. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill., very much enjoyed square dancing and playing cards especially pinochle.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Nicol, whom he married on Jan. 10, 1943, and passed away on Oct. 18, 2012; his parents, Edward and Flora Nicol; a brother, Emmit Nicol; a sister, Grace Nicol.

Surviving are his daughters, Lynda (Daniel) Senne of O'Fallon, Ill., Susan (John) Beckman of Collinsville, Ill., and Rebecca (Steven) Lewis of Collinsville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Scott (Paige) Jackson, Todd Jackson, Angela Senne, Andrea Beckman, Kenny Lewis and Sara Lewis; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan Lehtola and Karter Lewis.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Ill., and can be received at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill., with Pastor Mark Horn officiating.
