Obituary

Darlene Crow, 79, of Granite City, IL., passed away on November 18, 2022. Born in St. Louis, MO., on November 15, 1943: she was one of 7 children.

Darlene retired from Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where she always went above and beyond in caring for patients and their families. She was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Darlene donated to many charities, volunteered for the Granite City Association for the Protection of Animals, and was a hospice caregiver for many. As a member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City, Darlene lived by example and changed numerous lives with her missionary work. Her church family was her life, and her life was complete.

Surviving her are her loving children; Katie (Mark) Walden, Melanie (Rodney) Snider, and Mary Jane Harrell; grandchildren Brandon Mayberry, Amy (Marc) Baker, Nick Mineman, Derek (Megan) Mayberry, Corey Mineman, and Danielle (Dave) Danneberg; great-grandchildren Shianne Baker, Lexi Baker, Colton Baker, Alex Mayberry, Tristan Mayberry, Amelia Mayberry, Julian Mayberry, and Baby Mineman; siblings Sondra (Ron) Pederson, Denny (Sharon) Crow, Kent (Gayle) Crow, Bruce (Janice) Crow, Brian (Debbie) Crow, and Lori (Bill) Gibson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.

A visitation will be held at Calvary Life Church in Granite City on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 5 - 8 pm. Pastor Mark Maynard will officiate a service at the church on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11 am.
