Darvin D. Lochmann, 84, of Saint Jacob, Ill., born Jan. 20, 1929, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.
Mr. Lochmann retired from Local 520 Operating Engineers. He took great pride in being one of the best crane operators in the area. He had also worked as plant manager for Swift Eckrich for 10 years. Darvin had served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of Saint John United Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, nee Wilson, Lochmann; father, Otto "Dutch" Lochmann; and mother, Lena, nee Maddalino, Lochmann.
Surviving are his son, Keith (Tammy) Lochmann of Saint Jacob, Ill.; brother, Leroy "Lee" (Agnes) Lochmann of St. Charles, Ill.; granddaughter, Cristina (Trevor) Yates of Troy, Ill.; and great-grandson, Braxton Yates.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
