David Bernard Fifer, 68, of Edwardsville IL passed away at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

David was born November 21, 1954 in Highland IL, to the union of John H. and Elizabeth P. Fifer.

David is survived by two children, Jerome Pillow and Charnele Pillow, two grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth. He is also survived by five siblings, a brother George and sisters Josephine, Fay, LuAnn and Rachel along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth, two brothers John Jr, Will and one sister Felicia.

David enjoyed many things, such as spending time with family and friends, fishing, gardening, small building projects and barbecuing.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him and will forever be remembered. Instead of formal services the family is having a celebration of life with reflections and refreshments on October 14, 2023 at the Pin Oak Township Hall in Edwardsville from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to the Sunset Hill Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Glen Carbon, IL.
