David Allen Jacobs, 57, died unexpectedly in his home on October 20, 2023. He was the first son of Ladonna Huie born May 13, 1966 in Selma, Alabama.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald and Marilyn Bauman and his nephew Xavier (Ty-Ty) Adcock. He is survived by his long-time girlfriend of thirty-five years Cindy Hillard, his parents James and Ladonna Huie, and his son David Allen Jacobs, Jr., his grandchildren Zoey and Wesely as well as his brothers Will, Dan, Jim, and Darrell.

David spent most of his life working in construction for a variety of companies. He had a love of electronics. He would spend much of his free time working on his truck or building high quality speakers for himself and his family. David would also utilize his expertise to assist family with renovations and remodels. Whether it was building a new deck and roof for his parents or helping his brother-in-law build his family home.

David was larger than life and quite a presence. He enjoyed joking and laughing and telling stories while spending time with family and friends. The void left by his absence is tremendous. He will be sorely missed.
