David V. McFarland, 74, of Terre du Lac, Missouri, died at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, on November 28th, 2024. He was born August 31st, 1950, in Granite City, Illinois to David "Mac" McFarland and Josephine (Roberts) McFarland.

Dave enjoyed playing board games and cards, traveling with Donna (significant other) and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He was an avid classic car lover. Dave was the owner and operator of McFarland Heating an Cooling in Granite City, Illinois. He was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #268 and the Teamsters Local #525. He was also part of the Ainad Shriners Tri City Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge #835, Royal Order of Jesters Southern Illinois Court NO. 086, Tancred Commandery No.2 Knight Templar of Belleville where he was a "Sir Knight", Cryptic Masons No.61 St Clair Council, Grand Royal Arch Mason Unity Chapter #182, M.M. Grand Lodge of AF&AM of state of Illinois Lodge #877,

He is survived by Donna Smith (significant other), sons: David R. (Keely) McFarland of Pocahontas Illinois, Garrick McFarland of Chesterfield Missouri, Brant (Ashley) McFarland of Benld, Illinois, two bonus kids: Kevin and Chris Smith and families, grandchildren: Kylie (Michael Barth) McFarland, David P. McFarland, Maya McFarland, Nora McFarland and Mackenzie McFarland. Dave was loved and will be missed by many family members and dear friends.

David was preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents.

The family requests all Memorials be directed to the Shriners Children's Hospital of St. Louis, in honor of David McFarland.
