David E. Merz Sr.

David E. Merz Sr. 80, of Benld, IL., born November 9, 1937, in Granite City, IL.,  passed away at his home on Friday, January 28, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Helen, nee Colyar,  Merz Sr.;  sister Miriam Ozanich along with her husband Matt;  brother Myron Merz.

David is survived by his son David E. (Kristy) Merz Jr. of Collinsville, IL.; sister, Kathryn (Charles) Raftery of St. Louis, MO.; brother Max (Beverly) Merz Jr. of Bradenton, FL.; one granddaughter Desiree (Christopher) Hooker of Collinsville, IL.
