David Mims Sr age 59, of East St Louis, IL, passed away on January 21st 2026. Born on February 2nd 1967 in East St Louis, IL to Samuel & Mary (Fudge) Mims, he will be remembered for being a Wonderful Father and Grandpa Aka Papa Jackie. He was a Mechanic all his life.

He is survived by his sister's  Marilyn & Alan Sparks, Dianna Mims & Terry Outland ,Joanna Clark & Daniel Widdows, Loretta Stufflebean & Tim Prenzel, and Teresa Hinkle,  and brother's Steven Sr & Darlene (Clark) Mims, Danny Mims, Jerome & Regina (Moore) Mims, Timothy Sr & Shelly (Rodriguez) Mims, Jerry Mims, and Anthony Mims.  Loretta Kite Mother of his children, Son's David Jr & Brandi (Atwood) Mims, James Kite & Krista Ernst, Jamie Kite & Cheyenne Hopkins, Elizabeth (Mims) & Austin Tettaton . Grandchildren Cali Mims, Hayden Barrera, Rayna Kite, Laila Kite, Layton Kite, Maxxton Hopkins ,Braelynn Tettaton, Brynnlee Tettaton and Blayklee Tettaton. Many Uncles, Aunts, nieces nephews and cousins. And a Great Friend to all.

A memorial service will be held 5:00pm, Monday, February 16, 2026, at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.
